The training program is centred around an informative and interactive 2 hour presentation. The on-road awareness course puts all the important points covered during the 2 hour presentation into practice, driving in areas normally encountered during work. Primary Driver Awareness Seminar
Designed for the experienced driver, this informative and interactive presentation focuses on developing the right attitude behind the wheel. The session turns complex issues into easy to understand steps that can help increase awareness and make you a safer driver. Questions and discussion are encouraged. All participants receive a certificate upon completion.
On Road Primary Driver Awareness (Duration - 1 Hour 30 Minutes)
This session reinforces the key points raised in the Primary Driver Awareness presentation and is conducted on-road. During the session employees also gain further knowledge and understanding of our ever-changing road conditions and laws.
Commercial vehicle/Mini Bus Training and Evaluation (Duration - 2 Hours)
This vehicle specific training course is designed to increase driver confidence and enhance passenger safety. The focus is on understanding and managing vehicle size and dynamics, increasing awareness, forward planning, hazard perception and more. The course includes a short classroom presentation to cover important theory and followed by a practical on road component. A written evaluation will be provided for each applicant to complete the course.
Driver Evaluation (Duration - 1 Hour 30 Minutes)
Ideal for new employees or high-risk drivers, this is a one-on-one assessment with an accredited assessor. Conducted in the employee’s work vehicle, this sessions tests the driver’s car control, safety and awareness. A full written report is provided to the employer on completion.
Corrective Drive (Duration - 45 minutes)
Ideal for high-risk drivers, this is a on-on-one training session designed to help eliminate bad habits. The corrective drive course is the follow on from the driver evaluation, if training has been recommended. The course will then focus on the specific areas identified in the driver evaluation and updated on any new changes to the road law. A full written report is provided to the employer on completion.
Trailer Towing Safety and Operation
This course is designed to eliminate the uncertainty when towing most trailers and caravans. The course begins with a short theory presentation, followed by practical experience. The applicants learn all aspects of safely dealing with trailers, understanding the dynamics of towing and learning to reverse safely.
Defensive Truck Training
This is a vehicle specific training course designed to increase driver awareness. The focus is on understanding and managing vehicle size and dynamics, forward planning, hazard perception and more. Load restraints (correct equipment and use) and load distribution as also included. The course starts with a short theory session (at the vehicle) followed by a practical on-road component. The applicant will be supervised by a qualified Trainer/Assessor at all times. A full written evaluation will be provided for each applicant on completion of the course.
Load Restraint Training
Loads that aren't restrained properly can injure and cause significant property damage. Your corporate reputation and your financial reputation can suffer if your involved in a load restraint incident. This course is designed to comply to the specific chain of responsibility provisions which relate to packing, loading and load restraint requirements according to the National Transport Commission (The load Restraint guide) The program provides drivers, owners, operators with the basic safety principals that should be followed to ensure the safe carriage of loads. The course starts with a classroom component which covers the Law, the general principals of load restraint, Load restraint methods, selecting the vehicle, Do's and Don'ts. Followed by a practical at the vehicle session.
Dangerous Goods Awareness Course (Duration - 3 Hours)
It is important that everyone involved in transporting Dangerous Goods understands their responsibilities to help prevent and /or reduce damage to people and the environment. This is and interactive classroom session designed for employees which are involved in packing, packaging, compliance and freight forwarding. The program provides drivers, owners, contractors, operators, awareness and the basic safety principals that must be followed to ensure the safe carriage of Dangerous Goods.
