Defensive Heavy Vehicle Driver Training

] (7)

Overview

This vehicle-specific training course is designed to enhance driver awareness and improve safety while operating trucks and heavy vehicles. The course focuses on understanding and managing the unique size and dynamics of larger vehicles, forward planning, and hazard perception. Participants will also gain knowledge on proper load restraint techniques, load distribution, and how to safely navigate various road conditions. The training begins with a brief theory session at the vehicle, followed by a practical on-road component. Throughout the course, participants are closely supervised by a qualified Trainer/Assessor. Upon completion, each participant will receive a comprehensive written evaluation, highlighting areas of strength and any opportunities for improvement.
